Judson University (7-11, 2-2) hosts visiting opponent Silver Lake College (2-10) in a rematch from earlier this season, where they defeated the Lakers 79-42. The Eagles since then has fared much better in the win column than the Lakers out of Silver Lake.
The Eagles during their last matchup performed extremely well with four players in double figures offensively. Leading the way for them was freshman ShaRhonda Huff (Chattanooga, TN) with 14 points on 6-of-13 from the floor and out freshman Rachel McBride (Decatur, IL) with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. As a team the Eagles shot 81.8% from beyond the arc, 39.5% from the floor, and 54.5% from the charity stripe.
The Lakers were held to zero three pointers in their last matchup and went 13-of-42 from the floor for 31%. Leading the way for the Lakers was Kristin Jansky with 15 points going 4-of-7 from the floor and 7-of-7. The Lakers went 11-of-11 from the free throw line in the second half but finished the game 16-of-23 from the line for 69.6% and committed 5 turnovers in the game.
I expect this one to be very one sided based on the way these two teams had played in their last matchup. Judson University is riding on a three game winning streak with senior Alicia Rovertoni (Columbia, IL) coming off her CCAC player of the week award.
