Judson University (8-12, 2-3) will face Cardinal Stritch (21-2, 6-0) in a battle of conference opponents. The Eagles lost their last game to Trinity International by a score of 75-73 while Cardinal Stritch is on a 10-game winning streak.
The Eagles are lead by senior Alicia Rovertoni (Columbia, IL) who is averaging 10.4 points per game along with 9.6 rebounds per game. This season she has posted 9 double-doubles while having 29 for her career. Freshman ShaRhonda Huff (Chattanooga, TN) is coming off her recent CCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award. During that week she averaged 16.5 points per game, 6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3 steals per game. Judson University is ranked 4th in the conference with two wins.
The Wolves of Cardinal Stritch have three players averaging more than 10 points per game, senior Michelle Stelloh (15), sophomore Liz Neitzel (14.4), and senior Brittney Daum (11.7). Cardinal Stritch is averaging 74.8 points per game while holding their opponents to 51.4 points per game. The Wolves defense has been very short of perfect this year allowing their opponents to shoot .332 from the floor, 23 turnovers, 12.7 steals, and 3.9 blocks per game.
This game should be a tough matchup for the Eagles as they have struggled this year at times. This one could get away from them quickly but they have to play a full 40 minutes of fundamental basketball if they expect to come out with a victory.
